The CSP advice ‘remains that members in all sectors should seek to continue to run physiotherapy services during the national lockdown, and that all relevant public health rules relating to social distancing, risk assessment and PPE must be followed to keep clinicians and patients as safe as possible’. Hydrotherapy pools can remain open for aquatic physiotherapy as per following COVID-19 safety recommendations. If the hydrotherapy pool is part of a leisure or school facility it would be the decision of the operator as to whether the pool could be remain open only for healthcare use. The CSP report further advice for members practising in care homes is expected imminently.
